Biodynamic Massage

Unlike conventional massage, it supports both emotional wellbeing and physical ease, helping you to feel more grounded and at peace. This massage can form part of a broader psychotherapeutic journey or be offered as a standalone treatment.  Sessions take place in-person.

Biodynamic Massage Therapy is a gentle, holistic form of bodywork that supports emotional and physical wellbeing through touch, awareness, and deep relaxation. Rooted in Body Psychology, it recognises the connection between body, mind, and emotions, working with the body’s natural rhythms to restore balance and release tension.

Developed by psychologist and physiotherapist Gerda Boyesen, the therapy can include the use of a stethoscope to listen to subtle digestive sounds during treatment. These “psycho-peristaltic” sounds are believed to reflect the body processing and releasing emotional stress.

What it can help with
Biodynamic Massage Therapy can support people experiencing:

  • Stress, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm

  • Fatigue, sleep difficulties, or burnout

  • Muscle tension or physical discomfort linked to emotions

  • Chronic pain and other persistent symptoms

  • Grief, low mood, or difficulty switching off

  • A need for grounding, calm, or reconnection with the body
